Wei Lixin (born in July 1977, graduated from a technical secondary school, joining Shandong Shantui Construction Parts Co., Ltd. in February 2004)
In February 2004, I joined Shandong Shantui Construction Parts Co., Ltd. and worked as a welder. In October 2007, I, on behalf of Shandong Shantui Construction Parts Co., Ltd., participated in Olympic Welding Skills Contest organized by Komatsu, a Japanese company. With convincing welding skills and strong comprehensive strength, I stood out among over 100 contestants from 13 countries such as China, USA and Germany and won the championship. In 2009, I was awarded the title of Shantui “Model Worker”. In 2010, I was granted the “Technical Talent” Award by the China Construction Machinery Association.
When I joined Shantui, I was worried that I would not be able to fit into the company culture quickly which would hinder my personal development. But thanks to meticulous care of team leader and workshop director in daily life and their meticulous guidance and help at work, I adapted to the environment very quickly. In 2005, I was selected to be the leader of workshop welding team. In October 2007, I, on behalf of Shandong Shantui Construction Parts Co., Ltd., was recommended to participate in Olympic Welding Skills Contest organized by Komatsu and won the championship. I think individual achievements cannot be separated from good cultural atmosphere and excellent employment philosophy of enterprises.
Today, competition is increasingly intense. But I feel deeply humanized management in Shantui. As long as you are talented, you can get stages for showing your talents. “Knowing talents and making good use of their talents” is Shantui’s personnel policy, which has been fully reflected in me. I’d like to express my gratitude to Shantui. And I wish Shantui will be better!
